The NAR GREEN designation is awarded to those REALTORS® who successfully complete three courses and their respective exams followed by a final exam.  Building Science, indoor air quality, energy-efficiency and sustainable landscaping are only a few of the subjects covered in this intensive course.

Everywhere you go you hear, “green”, “natural”, “eco-friendly” and numerous other terms that are usually just words used for marketing to the “green-minded” consumer.  With so much “green-washing” (using a term with no real proof or certification) consumers, and many professionals, find it confusing.

Home Buyers and Sellers can feel confident working with a REALTOR who holds the Green designation when they are looking to buy or sell a home with energy-efficient and sustainable features.  As the National Association of Realtors’ only certification designating an advanced knowledge of these concepts, those with the designation can provide and guide you with much value-added information in your next real estate transaction.
